Cast Spotlight: Willie Mellina as Miles

Willie Mellina plays Miles, the older brother in Pickleball: The Movie. Once a promising tennis player before an injury cut his career short, Miles brings athletic instincts—and a bit of swagger—to the court. He may think of himself as a ladies’ man, but beneath the bravado, Miles is a good-hearted older brother who carries much of the team’s weight.

Mellina makes Miles both funny and relatable: a guy whose confidence sometimes outpaces his circumstances, but who always shows up when his family needs him most. His chemistry with Justin Sterner (Earl) highlights the brotherly bond at the heart of the story.

As the athlete of the group, Miles sets the pace in training and competition—but it’s his loyalty and resilience that define his journey.
